Robert Zemeckis and Contemporary Hollywood

My project will provide the first major academic study of the films of Robert Zemeckis. I aim to explore how Zemeckis has navigated the shifting economic and operational structures of contemporary Hollywood over the last four decades. The thesis will be centrally concerned with how creative individuals function within a complex economic and social environment.
